Completed Social Projects

We've supported a lot of work done to the Community Hall including flooring, kitchen, bathroom, roof and patio upgrades. We've also purchased ceiling fans for the building and shelving for the storage room.

We recognize different levels of giving on our Donor Kiosk, located near the playground on the main beach. Gifts are treated as cumulative, which means gifts made over a number of years can move you from one level to another. 

Our event includes a map to 5 treasure stops in Waskesiu plus take home treasure, activities, crafts and interaction with a life size pirate ship! The event concludes with lunch at Terrace Gardens.

We supported Gordie Howe Day on August 5, 2018 and celebrated with a book signing by Murray Howe, dedication of the Gordie Howe Memorial Fitness Park, and unveiling of a sign at the Waskesiu Golf Course honouring Gordie Howe who lived, worked, golfed and fished at Waskesiu during his hockey career.

Support for high speed internet was a group effort that we helped with which launched in July 2018. The Waskesiu Community Council, Waskesiu Seasonal Residents Association, Waskesiu Chamber of Commerce, Parks Canada, and individuals contributed towards the capital cost. 

It's important to be heard! We're happy to have supported the purchase of an outdoor audio system that comes in handy for community events.

Our annual Sipping Social held the second Saturday of July features fantastic food, friends and fundraising. Tapas style food stations, a specialty drink, and cash bar are featured with plenty of time to visit with friends & neighbours you haven't seen in awhile. 

We've purchased tables & chairs for the Community Hall and Terrace Gardens which are used for community events, rentals and more.

We've contributed to lots of work done at Terrace Gardens such as kitchen, bathroom, and coatroom upgrades, plus an outdoor storage shed.
