Your gifts support recreational, social, cultural and environmental activities that enhance the Waskesiu experience. It makes a difference right now....and for future generations who come to share the remarkable beauty that is Waskesiu. Every dollar we raise stays in the community. Charitable tax receipts are issued for gifts of $25 or over.

Tributes & Memorials
Choose to donate in memory or in honour of someone special. Example tribute gifts are in celebration of a birthday, anniversary or as special thanks. Select 'where needed most' or the area that is most meaningful to you. We'll send an acknowledgement card to the family or to the person being honoured.
The name of the person receiving the tribute is included in a special category on our Donor Kiosk located near the playground on the main beach. The Donor Kiosk is updated once a year near the beginning of summer.
Securities (Shares/Stocks)
Transferring securities directly to us is another way you can support the Waskesiu community. Gifting securities like publicly traded stocks, bonds and mutual funds is convenient, has tax benefits, and is easily arranged through your financial advisor. Use our Contact Form to notify us if you would like to transfer securities to the Waskesiu Foundation.
Gifts in-Kind
We gratefully accept gifts in-kind, or non-cash gifts like shares, equipment or land if:
- The gift in-kind is useful and needed;
- Is in good condition;
- Can be converted to cash at no expense to us;
- Can be readily sold or utilized in an approved Waskesiu Foundation project
For gifts in-kind under $1,000 an original bill of sale (provided by the donor) can be used to prove the value of the item.
For gifts-in-kind over $1,000 an independent appraiser must be used to determine the value of the item. The cost of the appraisal is the responsibility of the donor. Donors can't self-appraise their gift.
