Your gifts support recreational, social, cultural and environmental activities that enhance the Waskesiu experience. It makes a difference right now....and for future generations who come to share the remarkable beauty that is Waskesiu. Every dollar we raise stays in the community. Charitable tax receipts are issued for gifts of $25 or over.
You can donate online anytime! If you'd prefer to chat in person, give us a call and we'd be happy to connect. Cheques payable to the Waskesiu Foundation can be mailed to:
The Waskesiu Foundation Inc.
PO Box 242
Saskatoon, SK S7K 3K4
If you like, print our donation form to mail along with your gift.
Choose to donate in memory or in honour of someone special. Example tribute gifts are in celebration of a birthday, anniversary or as special thanks. Select 'where needed most' or the area that is most meaningful to you. We'll send an acknowledgement card to the family or to the person being honoured.
The name of the person receiving the tribute is included in a special category on our Donor Kiosk located near the playground on the main beach. The Donor Kiosk is updated once a year near the beginning of summer.
Transferring securities directly to us is another way you can support the Waskesiu community. Gifting securities like publicly traded stocks, bonds and mutual funds is convenient, has tax benefits, and is easily arranged through your financial advisor. Use our Contact Form to notify us if you would like to transfer securities to the Waskesiu Foundation.
We gratefully accept gifts in-kind, or non-cash gifts like shares, equipment or land if:
For gifts in-kind under $1,000 an original bill of sale (provided by the donor) can be used to prove the value of the item.
For gifts-in-kind over $1,000 an independent appraiser must be used to determine the value of the item. The cost of the appraisal is the responsibility of the donor. Donors can't self-appraise their gift.
A bequest in your will is the most popular planned giving method, but there are other options available too. Learn more about your Will Power or other planned giving options.
This is our most popular way to give. These gifts provide an opportunity to be flexible and creative in how we support the community. It could mean helping to fund a current or future major initiative or to provide extra funds to beautify the townsite by planting trees or flower boxes, supporting active kid fun at a family event, or putting the finishing touches on a recreation project. The possibilities are endless and we will ensure your gift is put to its best use.
Current projects represent our immediate need at any given time. They're the larger projects in progress that can't be financed from funds on hand. Current projects are listed by name from time to time on our donate now page in the drop-down "fund" menu. An example is Recreation Renewal.
