As a volunteer, you help unite people to work towards a common goal, building teamwork and camaraderie.
Over three days, a total of 60 volunteers transformed a section of Waskesiu's main beach from plain sand to a wonderful nature-themed play area. Volunteers of all ages, skill, and fitness levels pitched in. It was an incredible project which was managed, fundraised and constructed by our amazing volunteers.
Volunteers improve community facilities that benefit you, your family, and other people you care about. Community service and volunteerism are an investment in a better community.
A self-organized group of volunteers sponsored the cost and built a new camp kitchen at South Bay. It was an outstanding achievement driven by volunteers.
Every volunteer counts. If you have a little extra time to help out, we'd love to have you.
Volunteers are an important part of our events including the Sipping Social and Family Treasure Hunt. Opportunities to volunteer include set up, decorating, approaching businesses for silent auction items, selling bar or raffle tickets, food preparation, take down and more. Volunteers are also needed for our Canada Day parade float - to assemble, ride along, or hand out candy & postcards.
Together, we can do more than we can do alone. Let's bring our abilities and passions together to affect real change in Waskesiu!
